What’s this LOVECAST thing about, anyway?

When my children were in high school, they had a super cool English teacher, Mrs. Greene, who wrote a love letter to her students each Friday.

I fondly remember digging through their backpacks each week, specifically looking for their love letter; I was so grateful to her for taking time to show her love to my children. Back then, I vowed to someday express my own love in such a way.

It’s taken a while, as my journey through life has had its typical twists and turns, and now I find myself inspired to write my own version of a weekly love letter, called “Lovecast”. I realize how much of a difference it can make for someone to receive expressions of love and acceptance, and how missing it is for some people.

If you subscribe, you can expect your Lovecast to arrive in your inbox each Tuesday at 3:00pm EST. In it, you will find thought provoking musings, some written by me, and some I’ve stumbled upon and have deemed worthy of sharing. My promise to you is that you will be inspired, you will be moved, or you will laugh. Sometimes, all three.

When is the last time you received a love letter? When did you last write one? I say we revive the ancient art of love letters…styled for today’s busy, love deprived world.

Know this, above all else. You are never alone. You are always loved. And who you are today is on purpose in the divine plan.

Love Letter“ Have you ever been loved? I bet you have been loved so much and so deeply that you have become blase about the immensity of the grace it confers. So let me remind you: To be loved is a privilege and prize equivalent to being born. If you’re smart, you pause regularly to bask in the astonishing knowledge that there are many people out there who care for you and want you to thrive and hold you in their thoughts with fondness. Animals, too: You have been the recipient of their boundless affection. The spirits of allies who’ve left this world continue to send their tender regards as well.” Rob Brezsny

Would you love to be able to look forward to a thoughtful, fun, love letter that arrives magically in your inbox every Tuesday? Then you’re going to want to trust me with your email address, and sign up in the box in the right sidebar on this page.

I love you.
